  • 1 medium-sized banana (ripe)
  • 3 large handfuls of spinach (fresh)
  • 1 cup of pineapple (fresh, canned or frozen)
  • 1 cup of Greek yogurt (plain)
  • Ice cubes
  • 6 oz. water

Directions:

Step 1: Grab your blender and make sure it’s clean to use. Then add in your banana. You can add in another banana, either half or whole if you lack potassium or simply want your drink to taste more like banana.

Step 2: Then add in your pineapples, it’s best to use chopped pineapples for easier blending. After, add in your spinach and then Greek yogurt. Once all fruits are in, add your 6 oz. water, preferably, at room temperature.

Step 3: Blend at medium speed for about 30 seconds. Once all the fruits are mixed, add your ice cubes. Make sure to NOT dunk all your ice cubes in at once. For instance, if you’re planning to add in 5 ice cubes, add 2 then 3 at a time.

Step 4: Maintain it at medium speed and once everything is smooth, transfer it to a cup and enjoy!

Another simple and easy detox recipe is a lemonade cleanse drink. This drink is a crowd favourite, because who doesn’t like lemonade? This recipe is packed with vitamin C, helps clean your bowels, helps keep you hydrated and is simply refreshing!

What do you need to make a lemonade cleanse drink?

  • 1 cup of lemon juice (which is about 8 lemons)
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of honey (or 1 sachet of stevia)
  • 4 cups of hot water

Directions:

Step 1: Get yourself a mug and combine your lemon juice, spices and honey. Stir well until all are well incorporated and dissolved.

Step 2: Prepare 4 separate glasses and pour hot water into each glass. Then add your lemon mixture (around ¼) into each glass. So you have a total of 4 drinks to enjoy!

  • ½ cup of rolled oats (uncooked)
  • 1 cup of Greek yogurt (plain)
  • 2 cups of frozen strawberries
  • ½ medium-sized banana, sliced (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons of honey (or 1 sachet of stevia)
  • ¼ teaspoon of pure almond extract

Directions:

Step 1: Get your blender and add in your oats, fruits, yogurt, almond milk and almond extract. Then on low speed puree the ingredients together. Once all are combined, turn the speed to high and turn off until smooth.

Step 2: If you have any fruits remaining, dice them up and mix them into your smoothing to make your drink more enjoyable and exciting. Once your mixture is smooth, transfer it into a mug/glass and enjoy!
